Number of Players

  • Minimum Number of Players to Start Match: 4, one of whom shall be a goalkeeper
  • Minimum Number of Players to Finish Match: 3, one of whom shall be a goalkeeper
  • Substitution Method: "Rolling substitution" (all players but the goalkeeper enter and leave as they please; goalkeeper substitutions can only be made when the ball is out of play and with referee's consent)

Players' Equipment

  • Jerseys, shorts, socks, protective shin-guards and footwear with rubber soles/canvas shoes.
  • Bibs would be provided before the start of every match.
  • Please don't wear Cleats/Studs as the matches will happen on a wooden surface. Players wearing cleats/studs will be disqualified.

Duration of the Game

  • Duration: Twelve minutes in total.

Ball in and out of Play

  • Ball out of play: When it has wholly crossed the goal line or touchline or when the game has been stopped by a referee.

Method of Scoring

  • When the whole of the ball has passed over the goal line, between the goal posts and under the crossbar (except by illegal means).

Fouls and Misconduct

  • Direct and indirect free kicks would be awarded by the referee depending on the nature of the fouls committed.
  • Cards: Yellow or Red as decided apt by the referee. Players shall be cautioned (i.e., shown yellow card) when:
    • a substituting player enters the pitch from an incorrect position or before the player he is substituting has entirely left the pitch
    • he persistently infringes the Laws of the Game
    • he shows dissent with any decision of the referee
    • he is guilty of ungentlemanly conduct

These 4 yellow-card offenses are punishable by an indirect free kick taken from the point of infringement.

Players shall be sent off (i.e., shown the red card) for:

  • serious foul play
  • violent conduct
  • foul or abusive language
  • second instance of cautionable offense (i.e., second yellow card)
  • intentionally impeding a clear goal opportunity (e.g. through a "professional foul")
  • intentionally impeding a clear goal opportunity in the penalty area by handling the ball

Rules of Expulsion

  • The player sent off (shown a red card) is out for the rest of the game and is not even permitted to sit on the reserves' bench.
  • The team of the player sent off can substitute for that player after 2 minutes of playing time or after the opposing team scores -- which ever comes first.
  • The substitute cannot come on until the ball is out of play and he has a referee's consent.

Penalty Kicks

  • Penalties to be taken from the penalty spot.

Throw in

  • Kick-in to be taken in place of the throw-in. The players cannot directly score from the kick-in

Goal Clearance

  • This is taken in place of the goal kick where the goalkeeper throws the ball into the play from inside the penalty area. However, the goalkeeper cannot throw the ball beyond the half line.

Corner Kick

  • Kick-in if the ball goes out for a corner. The players can score directly from the corner kicks.

Distance of the wall

  • Two metres in case the free kick has been awarded inside their own half
  • Five metres if the kick is inside the opponent's half

Penalty Kick Shoot-out

  • Referee decides the goal to be used.
  • Coin tossed to decide order.
  • Best of three penalty kicks decides the outcome. In case of a draw sudden death rules apply.
  • Players sent off during the match are not eligible to take these kicks.
  • Any eligible player may change places with his goalkeeper.


  • No protests would be entertained.

Point tabulation and walk over

  • Win - 5 points, Draw - 3 point, Loss - 1 points
  • Walk over - 5 points will be awarded to the opponent with 3 goals in their favour


  • If any team walks out of the ground on protest during the playtime, the team will be disqualified from the tournament and the opponent will be awarded a walk over.
  • The decision of the referee will be final in all matters during the match. No protest will be entertained against referee's decision.


  • The organisers reserve the right to reject any participant(s) and no further protests will be entertained pertaining to the same.
  • No sliding tackles are allowed in the game.
  • It is mandatory for all participants to carry an identification proof when they come for the tournament.
  • Water will be provided for participants. There will be a paid food stall at the event.

Decision of the referees

  • The decisions of the referees regarding facts connected with play, including whether or not a goal is scored and the result of the match, are final. The referees may only change a decision on realising that it is incorrect or, at their discretion, on the advice of an assistant referee, provided that they have not restarted play or terminated the match. The decisions of the referee prevail over those of the second referee if both signal an infringement and there is disagreement between them.


  • The four winners, one from each age category, will be selected by the coaching staff at FCBEscola. The selection happens based on the fulfilment of the various technical metrices set by the coaching staff at FCBEscola during the day's performance. The prizes on offer are four airline tickets to Barcelona along with the stadium tour of Camp Nou. It is mandatory for the winners to have valid passports. VISA and stay have to be fully arranged by the winners themselves.
